연극 <오백에 삽십>의 제목은 500만원의 보증금과 30만원의 월세를 뜻하는데요. 서울 대학로 돼지 빌라 가까이에 있는 떡볶이 가게를 배경으로 하는 코믹서스펜스 연극입니다. 저는 운좋게도 앞줄 좌석에 앉을 수 있었는데요. 코믹 서스펜스 연극을 보는 것은 이번이 처음이었습니다.
오백에 삼십, which translates into 5 million won deposit and 300 thousand a month rent is a comic suspense play set around a ddeokboki shop near Pig Villa in DaeHaengo Seoul. I was lucky enough to get a front row seat. It was my first time seeing a comedy suspense play.
이 연극은 전형적인 할머니, 아줌마, 포장마차 고객들이 조화롭게 어울어져, 한국에 꽤 오랫동안 살았던 사람들이라면 쉽게 이해할 수 있는데요. 제 한국어 실력이 완벽하진 않지만, 배우들이 장면을 정말 이해하기 쉽게 만들었어요. 이날 공연은 인기 문화예술에 대한 연출이 흥미로웠습니다. 연극배우들은 연극 시작 15 분 전에 공연을 위해 무대에 올랐어요.
With a nice balance of stereotypical halmonis, ajummas, and pojangmacha patrons, those who have lived in Korea for a significant amount of time can easily relate. My Korean isn’t perfect, but the cast really made the scenes easy to understand. Today’s performance was an interesting rendition of popular arts culture. Performers could be heard ramping up for the show throughout the theater 15 minutes before it started.
'허덕'배역을 맡은 배우는 관객들에게 떡볶이를 나눠주며 직접 교감하는 시간을 가졌습니다. 연극에 독특한 리얼리즘을 더해 관객들의 이목을 집중시켰는데요. 허덕은 연극이 시작되기 전에 관객에게 사진을 찍을 수 있는 기회를 제공하기도 했고요. 이어서 연극 관람 규칙을 빠르게 설명했습니다. 그는 관객과 어우러지는 법을 확실히 알고 있었어요.
Huo Duck instantly made the show interactive by handing out ddeokboki to many people in the audience. It added a unique realism to the play and certainly got the attention of the audience. Huo Duck gave the audience a photo opportunity before the play began, and then quickly explained the rules for watching the show. He definitely knew how to reach the audience.
이 연극에서 가게 주인 허덕은 김동하 씨가 연기했는데요. 극중 그는 서지은 씨가 연기 한 베트남 여자와 결혼했습니다. 그들은 함께 떡볶이 가게를 운영하며 연극 전반에 걸쳐 드라마틱한 이야기를 써내려갔는데요. 두 사람은 환상적인 호흡으로 연기했습니다 .
The owner of the shop Huo Duck played by Kim Dong Ha in today’s performance, is married to a Vietnamese woman, Heung who was played by Seo Ji Eun. Together, they run a ddeokboki shop and experience quite a drama throughout the play. The couple did a great job performing in sync.
최민주 씨는 몇몇 장면에서 당황한 할머니의 모습을 훌륭하게 연기해냈습니다. 김다솜 씨가 연기한 인물 '미스 조 (Miss Jo)'는 많은 극적인 장면에서 적어도 다섯가지 이상의 애교장면을 보여줬습니다. 김성순 씨가 연기 한 형사는 영락없는 경찰이었습니다. 이번 연극은 줄거리가 재미있어요. 또 배우들은 기억에 남을만한 공연을 선사했습니다.
Min Ju also did a wonderful job taking on the role of the disconcerting halmoni in a few of the scenes. Miss Jo, played by Kim Da Seom, delivers at least the 5 levels of aegyo in numerous dramatic scenes. Hyungsa, who was played by Kim Sung June, was a cop trying to divert suspicion away from himself. The story line was interesting and the actors did a splendid job delivering a memorable performance.
공연이 환상적이라면, 그 내용을 완전히 이해하는데 언어가 유창 할 필요는 없습니다. 무대 위 모든 남녀배우들은 두려움과 분노, 행복, 슬픔, 호기심이라는 감정을 보여주며 놀라운 연기를 펼쳤습니다. 연극 전반에 걸쳐 진행된 익살스런 코미디 연기는 정말 재미있었습니다. 참 훌륭했죠.
When the performance is spectacular, one does not necessarily need to be fluent in the language to completely understand it. All the actors and actresses did a marvelous job exhibiting emotions of fear, anger, happiness, sadness, and curiosity. With the slap stick comedy throughout the performance, it was very entertaining. The show that I saw today was truly magnificent.
이 연극은 이야기와 인물, 관심사를 살아있는 연기로 보여주면서 포장마차와 작은 식당에 생명을 불어 넣었습니다. 예리한 관찰력을 지닌 사람은 이러한 종류의 가게 특별한 이야기가 많이 담겨있다는 걸 알 수 있습니다. 다음에 포장마차나 작은 레스토랑에서 간식을 먹을 때, 저는 주변을 둘러보고 그 속에 있는 이야기에대해 궁금증이 생길것 같아요.
Perhaps unbeknownst to the writers and actors, this play breathed life into every pojangmacha and small restaurant as it presented them as lively scenes with stories, characters, and interest. A person that is a keen observer can often see that there are many unique stories that happen around these kinds of shops. The next time that I have a snack in a pojangmacha or small restaurant, I’ll look around and wonder about the stories that it can tell.
이번 공연은 탄방동 로데오 타운 건너편에 있는 이수아트홀에서 열렸습니다. 대전에 사는 외국인들에게는 잘 알려지 있지 않았지만 대전 예술 문화의 필수적인 부분이다. 소유자 김완수는 2011 년 11 월에 갤러리를 열었습니다. 극장에는 146 석이 있습니다. 이 작은 극장은 멋진 음향과 함께 훌륭한 무대를 선사합니다. 앞으로도 이곳에서 많은 연극을 보고 싶습니다.
The performance took place in ISU Theater, which is a small place across from Rodeo Town in Tanbangdong. While it may not be well known to nonnative Daejeoneans, it's an integral part of Daejeon Performing Arts culture. Owner Kim Wan Soo opened the gallery in November of 2011. There are 146 seats in the theater. This small theater has a nice stage with awesome acoustics. I would love to see more performances at Isu.
